BUSINESS CLASS ON BOARD OF TURKISH AIRLINES
In Istanbul, where a delegation of journalists went to meet with the leaders of Turkish Airlines on the occasion of its recognition as the best airline in Europe, we flew in business class on a carrier plane. To fly them is a pleasure: the level of service is simply amazing. After registering at Vnukovo airport for a flight to Antalya, through which we flew to the largest city in Turkey, we were taken to the lounge area – the first for a company abroad. MALIBU: STAR BEACH
When Jefferson Wagner stopped portraying a cowboy in a Marlboro commercial and began to duplicate Clint Eastwood in stunt scenes, he was ripe for the mayor of Malibu. In addition, he is a great surfer. Probably, all this helped him to win the 2010 elections. He is sixty now. ALL ON THE WIND
The first thing that meets a traveler in winter Dublin is a man with a weathered face, wrapped in a scarf and waxed jacket, riding a bicycle and carrying a surfboard under his arm. And then another – but already on foot. And then – elderly and gray-haired, but also with a board. Dubliners (and indeed the Irish) are famous for their character. The harsh climate near the sea, eternal dampness, greenery, rocks, years of civil war and IRA terrorist attacks, poverty, economic crisis and famine taught the Irish not to complain under any circumstances, but find joy in simple things: the beach, surfboard, alcohol, long walks through green fields and sublime melancholy, which is poured here in the landscape.
